சி.எம்.சி.மருத்துவமனை கொண்டாடிய 100 ஆம் ஆண்டு! Celebrating 100 years of CMC Hospital!

ஜூன் 8 ஆம் தேதியன்று சிஎம்சி ஆஸ்பத்திரி நிர்வாகம் சத்தமே இல்லாமல் 100 ஆம் ஆண்டு விழாவை கொண்டாடியது.

 1900 ஆம் ஆண்டு டாக்டர். சோபியா ஐடாஸ்கடர் அம்மையார் கிறிஸ்தவ மருத்துவக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து ஷெல் ஆஸ்பத்திரி என்று தொடங்கி வட தமிழக மக்களுக்கு மருத்துவ சேவையை செய்து வந்தார்.

 பின்னர் அந்த சேவையை விரிவுபடுத்திடும் நோக்கில் 08.06.1924 ஆம் தேதி வேலூரின் மையப்பகுதியான தோட்டப்பாளையத்தில் கிறிஸ்தவ மருத்துவ கல்லூரி மருத்துவமனையை (CMCH) அம்மையார் தொடங்கினார்.

  உலகளவில் அறியப்படும் அந்த மருத்துவமனைக்கு  தற்போது 100 வயதாகிறது.

 இதை நினைவு கூறும் வகையில் அம்மருத்துவமனையின் இயக்குநர் டாக்டர். விக்ரம் மேத்யூஸ் தலைமையில் பிரார்தனை கூட்டம் ஒன்று நடைபெற்றது.

08.06.2024 ஆம் தேதி மருத்துவமனையின் தேவாலயத்தில் நடைபெற்ற அந்த பிரார்தனை கூட்டத்தில்  மருத்துவமனையினர் கலந்துக் கொண்டனர்.

Celebrating 100 years of CMC Hospital!

On June 8, the CMC Hospital administration celebrated its 100th anniversary without much fanfare.

In 1900, Dr. Sophia Ida scudder started Christian Medical College and then Shell Hospital, providing medical services to the people of North Tamil Nadu.

Later Dr. Sophia Ida scudder started the Christian Medical College Hospital (CMCH) at Thotapalayam, the center of Vellore on 08.06.1924 with a view to expand that service.

The world famous hospital is now 100 years old.

To commemorate this, a prayer meeting was held under the leadership of Dr. Vikram Mathews, director of the hospital.

On 08.06.2024, the hospital attended the prayer meeting held in the church.

Then special songs were sung.
