நரேஷ்.என்,

  இந்திய நாடாளுமன்றம் முதல் முறையாக மக்களவை சபாநாயகருக்காக தேர்தலை சந்திக்க இருக்கிறது. சுதந்திரம் பெற்றதிலிருந்து ஒருமனதாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்ட சபாநாயகர் பதவிக்கு தற்போது தேசிய ஜனநாயக கூட்டணி சார்பில் ௐ பிர்லாவும், இந்தியா கூட்டணி சார்பில் கொடிக்குன்னில் சுரேஷும் போட்டி போடுகிறார்கள்.

இது பற்றின விவரம் வருமாறு,

18-வது மக்களவையின் முதல் கூட்டம் நேற்று முன்தினம் திங்கள் கிழமை தொடங்கியது. முதல் நாளில் 262 புதிய எம்.பி.க்களுக்கு தற்காலிக மக்களவை தலைவர் மஹதாப் பதவிப் பிரமாணம் செய்து வைத்தார். இதைத் தொடர்ந்து, 281 எம்.பி.க்கள் நேற்று பதவியேற்றுக் கொண்டனர்.

புதிய மக்களவை தலைவரை தேர்வு செய்வதற்கான தேர்தல் இன்று நடைபெறும் என்று அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பெரும்பாலும், ஒருமித்த கருத்தின் அடிப்படையில் மக்களவை தலைவர் தேர்வு செய்யப்படுவது வழக்கம்.

அந்த வகையில், காங்கிரஸ் தலைவர் மல்லிகார்ஜுன கார்கேவுடன் மத்திய பாதுகாப்பு துறை அமைச்சர் ராஜ்நாத் சிங், தொலைபேசியில் ஆலோசனை நடத்தினார்.

அப்போது, மக்களவை துணை தலைவர் பதவியை எதிர்க்கட்சிகளுக்கு வழங்க வேண்டும் என்று கார்கே வலியுறுத்தினார். இதைத் தொடர்ந்து, காங்கிரஸ் பொதுச் செயலாளர் வேணுகோபால், திமுக எம்.பி. டிஆர்.பாலு ஆகியோர் அமைச்சர் ராஜ்நாத் சிங்கை சந்தித்து பேசினர். அப்போதும் உடன்பாடு எட்டப்படவில்லை.

இந்த சூழலில், பாஜக தலைமையிலான தேசிய ஜனநாயக கூட்டணி சார்பில் ௐ பிர்லா நேற்று மக்களவை தலைவர் பதவிக்கு வேட்புமனு தாக்கல் செய்தார்.

  இதைத் தொடர்ந்து, இந்தியா கூட்டணி சார்பில் கேரளாவை சேர்ந்த காங்கிரஸ் எம்.பி.கொடிக்குன்னில் சுரேஷ் வேட்புமனு தாக்கல் செய்தார். இவர் கடந்த 29 ஆண்டுகளாக நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினராக உள்ளார் என்பது கவனிக்கப்படக்கூடியது ஆகும்.

   எதிர்க்கட்சிகளுக்கு மக்களவை துணை தலைவர் பதவியை வழங்கினால், ஆளும்கட்சியின் மக்களவை தலைவர் வேட்பாளருக்கு ஆதரவு அளிக்க இந்தியா கூட்டணி தயாராக உள்ளது. ஆனால், எதிர்க்கட்சிகளின் இந்த விருப்பத்தை நிறைவேற்ற தேசிய ஜனநாயக கூட்டணிக்கு மனதில்லை என்பதினால் இந்த தேர்தல் நடைபெறுகிறது.
